Sandra's work in influenced by the surrounding countryside, a love of nature and the amazing structure and detail found in plants and how they are formed. Her interest lies in the challenge to recreate natures detail in clay and glaze which are themselves natural products with their own individual traits and constraints. 

Spending time along the west coast inspired a love of the sea and a desire to capture its power and majesty in my more recent work.
All of Sandra's pieces are handmade using a variety of clays, white earthenware, terracotta, and porcelain. she makes a variety of framed and unframed wall art as well as functional ceramics. She also uses stone ware and porcelain as the different clays all have their own properties and nature making clay such a wonderful material to work with.
