This Sunday (Feb 13th) will be a big day for us. We will be hosting a great family show from The Ark the cultural centre for children.

"Wires, Strings & Other Things" is an innovative show specifically designed to engage children in the musical creative process. The Stage will be strewn with random bits and bobs that will all eventually come together to create delightful rhythms and melodies.

Here are a few pictures we snuck out from their opening night.... doesn't it look amazing?

“Andreea (viola) James (Bass clarinet) and Ed, (electronics) explore the stage and pick up random objects to get the creative juices flowing.

Balloons turn into violins, pipes become drums, sounds get looped and remixed. No matter what, you'll never know what you'll hear next. The 3 sounds explorers invite you to be curious, to always listen and also to help out in their quest for the next melody.

You can see "Wires, Strings & Other Things" written by Brian Irvine and directed by Wouter Van Looy on stage in Birr Theatre & Arts Centre this coming Sunday (February 13th) from 3pm.

Tap Road allows players to collect spheres to unlock new tracks and ball skins, giving more progression depth than Slope.

While both games increase speed over time, Tap Road emphasizes avoiding numbered blocks as scoring milestones, unlike the random obstacles in Slope.

What a fantastic way to spark creativity in kids—turning random bits into music is such a fun concept! Seeing this reminds me of Crossy Road, an arcade game where you guide characters across roads and rivers. Each jump requires timing and attention, just like coordinating all those musical pieces—it’s playful and engaging!
