A Chance To Dance 2023

Updated: Jul 4, 2023

A Chance to Dance emerged from the imagination of Frank McNamara and Maureen deForge as a barrier-free environment where youth from age 8+, regardless of abilities, are free to participate in a summer camp especially set up to facilitate their needs. Running since 2015, A Chance to Dance provides dance/movement based activities, music and crafts and a range of other activities, to individuals with additional needs.

A Chance to Dance has 2 main goals and they are to keep the cost down to parents and to tie in with funders and grants who can see this is such a worthy way to get involved. Also to get qualified, professional staff to teach - dance, co- ordination, co -operation, these teachers, not only qualified in their fields but also with the intuition and fast paced thinking to read a situation, diffuse a situation and anticipate further occurrence or stimulants.

A huge thanks this year to the generous support of The Camcor Riders and our selection of teachers.

So, get the word out there about A Chance to Dance.....the proof of the pudding is in the tasting and we have returnees year upon year.

We have looked, we have learned and akin to parenthood, A Chance To Dance Summer Camp has grown and matured into the fun creative and loving space that cares and gives care to each and every person that comes through our doors. A Chance to Dance will run from Monday 17 to Friday 21 July 10 am - 1pm with a registration fee / €20. Registration forms must be returned by Friday 07 July. (Form below)

Spaces are limited but please do get in touch so we can place you on a list and keep you up to date for next year!
