Film@BirrTheatre

Birr town no longer has a cinema- but we have a big screen, a great sound system and the loveliest surroundings right here at your local theatre. Film@BirrTheatre is on a mission to provide all patrons with access to the best of Irish, world and independent cinema.

Our 2024 season resumes on Thursday 18th January. And we have a full schedule of new, exciting and intriguing movies to offer.

We source our film selection from Access>CINEMA whose purpose is to "deliver a diverse range of quality cinema, that is not available on commercial cinema screens, to local Irish audiences."

Film@BirrTheatre operates every Thursday evening at 8pm.

Tickets are €7 each (€5 for the Friends of Birr theatre).

After each film, we collect your opinions in a short movie survey. We use that feedback as a basis for programming the up-coming season.
