Daniel Craig leaves any final trace of James Bond behind him in Queer, with his portrayal of an outcast gay American expat living in a post-war Mexico City, who becomes infatuated with a younger army veteran. The mismatched lovers end up taking an eventful journey through South America in search of the hallucinogenic plant Yage.

Director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name) reunites with his Challengers screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes to adapt William S. Burroughs’ semi-autobiographical novel into this stylish drama, which was shot largely on a sound-stage in Italy. And Craig’s performance as a man consumed by obsession and loneliness has already started to generate awards buzz in this bold, vivid and sensual film.

“★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luca Guadagnino’s Queer is an exercise in exceptional filmmaking. It’s bold, raw and emotional, with a stunning central performance from Daniel Craig.” - Loud and Clear Reviews

“★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Queer doesn’t scrimp on provocation and pleasure, but it’s also a beautiful film about male loneliness, and the way a solitary life can so easily shade into a life sentence.” - The Daily Telegraph

Looks like a powerful and intense performance, the kind that pulls you in completely, much like the focus you feel during a fast paced run in Slope 2.

Tried out Nano Banana 2 for generating images from text descriptions. The updated version feels more responsive and the output quality has improved noticeably. Works well across different styles from photorealistic to illustrated.

Each turn and leap in Snow Rider creates a visual performance, like an elegant dance on snow.
