This week's Film@BirrTheatre title - HOUSE OF GUCCI

Film@BirrTheatre brings you the best of Irish, world and independent cinema on the theatre's big screen, every Thursday night at 8pm. This weeks offering - House Of Gucci, starring Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Salma Hayek and the one and only, Al Pacino....what a line up! One might think this is the movie of the century, yet like all movies, there are some who loved, and some who absolutely slated .....

What side of the fence do you lie?

You might just have to pop along to have a look at this 2h40m over 15's shocking true story of family life in the fast lane!

The House of Gucci tells the true story of the Gucci family’s meteoric rise – and near fall – in the world of haute couture, inspired by the shocking true story of the family empire behind the Italian fashion house of Gucci. Spanning three decades of love, betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately murder, we see what a name means, what it’s worth, and how far a family will go for control. This film is full of plot twists, passion and greed! It takes a peep behind the brand's shiny facade and reveals to all perhaps all that glitters isn't gold!

Recognisable to most the Gucci symbol has a stance and impression synonymous to quality wealth and prosperity. It perhaps massages an ego and is the stock staple of many a looky looky we meet on holidays! Talk about diverse!

Armed with that info, its difficult not to have a good look into the lives behind this famous brand, join us this Thursday as we press play at 8pm - House Of Gucci.
