internationally recognised Duke Street Gallery in Dublin. She works from her studio based in Castleconnell, Co Limerick.
“My paintings are worked in a drawn style which has come from the use of bitumen in printmaking. The application of the paint mimics the thought process of how the artist works. There is a constant almost unbroken line of paint that flows from a height.
The construction lines are visible and the light is preferably where the paint isn’t rather than where it is. The image is often dictated by how
the paint falls making the process of working very much in the now. I love the energy of this method of painting/drawing. It is very fluid and
often dictates the direction a painting takes. Jungian philosophy seems to be consistent with the way my work has progressed over the years”
